The Nina Lee Southbank Sweater and Sweater Dress redefine cozy-chic fashion, offering a versatile addition to your wardrobe. With a slightly oversized fit, funnel neck, and drop-shoulders, these designs are on-trend, comfortable, and effortlessly flattering.

Choose from three variations: the sweater dress, hip-length top, or cropped sweater—all featuring slouchy, slightly over-long sleeves with cuffs. Crafted from medium-weight knits with up to 20% stretch, such as ponte roma or boiled wool, or lighter-weight jerseys for a softer, drapier look, these garments are perfect for any occasion.

Your session fee includes the Nina Lee Southbank Sweater pattern (normally £15.50 rrp), threads, machine usage, and refreshments. Simply bring a packed lunch and your preferred fabric. Located in our welcoming studio in Portskewett, immerse yourself in a supportive environment where you can learn, create, and connect with fellow sewing enthusiasts.

Workshops are hosted in our beautiful, brand new, custom built studio in Portskewett

How to:

  • Understand and follow a pattern
  • Stitch stretch/sweatshirt fabric on a domestic sewing machine (without an overlocker)
  • Attach cuffs, ribbed hems and necklines

  • Pocket placement (optional)
  • Use of a twin needle

Version 1:
- , Sweater dress with a sweatshirt inspired hem band and side seam pockets, easy to dress up or down.
Version 2:
- , Hip length top suitable for wearing over trousers or pencil skirts when made in a ponte or similar, or ideal for tucking into high waisted garments if made in a lighter weight fabric.
Version 3:
- , Cropped sweater designed to finish at the natural waist.

, All three variations feature slouchy, slightly over-long sleeves with cuffs and all work well in medium-weight knits with up to 20% stretch, such as ponte roma, french terry, boiled wool, or sweatshirt fabric.
